Common Questions

Questions You Might Have

It is completely normal to have questions. Here are answers to the most common ones.

I believe there are no wrong questions.

Here are answers to some of the things people ask most often. If you do not see what you are looking for, please reach out — I am always happy to talk.

Absolutely. Everything shared in our sessions is completely confidential. I do not share information with anyone — not family members, not other professionals, no one — without your explicit written consent. Your privacy and safety are my highest priorities.
If you are in immediate danger, please call 911. The National Domestic Violence Hotline is available 24/7 at 1-800-799-7233, or you can text START to 88788. I am here to help when you are ready, and there is no pressure or timeline.
Sessions are conversational and focused entirely on you. We start where you are right now, identify what you want to change, and work together on practical steps to get there. There is no judgment, no lecturing, and no dwelling on the past — we always focus forward. Sessions are one hour long.
Yes! I work with clients locally in New York and Florida, and virtually across the United States and internationally. I currently have clients in Hong Kong and Paris. Sessions take place on a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Many clients find virtual sessions just as effective and comfortable as in-person sessions.
You can request a session directly from my website, or simply call or text me. I personally confirm every appointment within 24 hours. There is no automated booking — I want to make sure we connect personally from the start.
Yes. I make myself personally available to my clients. You can text me anytime — whether you need support in a difficult moment, want to celebrate a win, or just need to know someone is there. You will never feel alone in this process.
Absolutely not. You share what you are comfortable sharing, when you are ready. Our first conversation is about getting to know each other and understanding what kind of support would help you most. There is no pressure to relive painful experiences.
Therapy typically focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions by exploring past experiences. Coaching is forward-focused — we acknowledge where you have been, but we spend our energy on where you are going. I use a somatic and emotion-focused approach grounded in lived experience. If I believe therapy would better serve your needs, I will be honest about that.
I do not bill insurance directly. However, I provide documentation that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Many clients have success getting partial reimbursement through their out-of-network benefits. Pricing is discussed privately.
Every person is different. Some clients work with me for a few months during a specific transition. Others maintain an ongoing coaching relationship. There is no minimum commitment and no pressure to continue longer than you need. We go at your pace.
Most clients are surprised by how natural virtual sessions feel. The connection and engagement are just as real as being in the same room. Many people actually prefer the comfort and convenience of meeting from their own space.

Taking the first step is the hardest part.

I am here when you are ready. Whether you want to call, text, or fill out a form — there is no wrong way to reach out.
